Why We Travel
We think America is the greatest place on earth. We believe America is rich. It's rich with people and stories and places. We want to experience that richness, get inspired by it and share what we find with the world. We're not discouraged by the long list of negative news; rising gas prices, or politics. We have our own list. On ours you'll find the beauty of the Grand Canyon, the buzz of a major league ball park and the calm of a campfire. This experience is the gift we're giving our children. This is our American vision. We hope everyone will see it like we do.
Who We Were before Our Trip
Dan, 34, is a buyer for a food distribution company. He graduated from Ohio State University with a BA in Communications He is the voice of the Bluffton University Beavers and Lima Senior Spartans.
Becky, 34, is a property manager. She graduated from Ohio State University with a BA in Journalism and a minor in Psychology. From 2002-2006 she wrote the weekly column, "Site-Seeing." She is the secretary of the Board for the Northwest Ohio Literacy Council and a volunteer at her children's schools.
Abby, 10, is a fourth grade student. She plays softball and soccer. She enjoys reading, writing, computers and creating her own businesses ventures.
Carter, 4, is a preschool student. He is enrolled in the public library's storytime program and enjoys playing cars and running.

Our Road Route
Starting in our home state of Ohio, made our way through 48 states. First we drove northeast through New York state and up into Maine. Then we turned south along the East Coast. The road led us through the Mid-Atlantic states before we turned back toward Ohio. After a brief stop in the Buckeye state, we headed Northwest until it got cold. Our trip then turned south before sweeping up through the Midwest and back to Ohio again, in time for the holidays. Next we went Southwest, and finally, we visited the the Northwest and Plains states before we went home.
